APA offers a variety of sports training programs such as individual coaching and lessons, classes, clinics, and camps are provided by expert trainers skilled at working with young people. Events—An ongoing schedule of special events features pro demos, local and regional competitions, concerts, barbeques, and other activities that will provide park fun and promote its popularity. These programs include:

  • Skate School: 

    A 10-week program for those 15 and under. It is a beginner program that teaches the basics and safety as well as goes into the culture of skateboarding. Those that qualify as a low-income family receive a free board with classes.

  • Skate Camp:

    A week long, 9-5, program that goes through the basics and dives into skills and techniques. The week is finished off by students inviting their friends and family to be a part of the expo on the last day.

  • Scholarship programs:

      Available to at risk youth.  Action Park Alliance pays for students to get new boards and other equipment as needed. To qualify students have to write essays on why they love skateboarding and the important role that it plays in their lives.

  • Saturday Skate Clinics:

    Group style skate lessons held on Saturday mornings.

  • Birthday Parties:

    scheduled by appointment only.
