Action Park Alliance Administrative Policy
A. Purpose
The Action Park Alliance is committed to ensuring the enjoyment, safety, and proper use of our action sports facilities through the enforcement of skate park Rules and Regulations as agreed on by patrons entry into the facility.
This Administrative Policy governs the suspension of entry passes for skatepark patrons who fail to comply with the regulations set forth.
B. Applicability
This policy applies to all park users and those who desire to use the park.
C. Provisions of the Policy
Persons violating the regulations set forth and other provisions listed on the APA Waiver for Entry and Release of Liability are subject to removal from the skatepark and may be prohibited from using the skatepark in the future. APA reserves the right at its discretion to deny issuance of a user pass or revoke a user pass on a temporary or permanent basis in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the skatepark and its users. Any payment for a pass that is revoked will not be reimbursed.
Level 1 Violations
Defined as minor acts of misconduct that interfere with the orderly operation of the skatepark and the enjoyment, safety, and proper use of the facility for all park patrons. A Level 1 violation may result in immediate expulsion from the park and up to a one-week suspension of a user’s entry pass.
- Safety/Equipment Violations:
- Lack of Required Safety Equipment
- Use of Inadequate Equipment
- Use of Prohibited Devices/Equipment
- Use of Unauthorized Audio Equipment
- Possession of Prohibited Food, Beverages, Tobacco Products, Drugs, Alcohol, or Glass Containers
- Unauthorized Entry into Skate Area
- Skating/Riding in Unauthorized Areas
- Behavior/Demeanor Violations:
- Littering
- Destruction of Property/Vandalism (Under $50)
- Disrespect/Use of Profanity
- Bullying/Harassment
- Reckless Behavior
- General Violations:
- Repeated Misconduct of a Less Serious Nature
- Failure to Comply with Staff Instructions and/or Park Rules
Level 2 Violations
Defined as more serious or disruptive examples of Level 1 violations, including repeated Level 1 violations. A Level 2 violation may result in immediate expulsion from the park and up to a three-month suspension of a user’s entry pass.
- Insubordination/Open Defiance
- Stealing (Less than $20)
- Intimidation/Threats
- Racial Disrespect/Use of Racial Slurs
- Hazing
- Fighting
- Destruction of Property/Vandalism (Over $50)
- Repeated Misconduct of a Serious Nature
Level 3 Violations
Defined as major acts of misconduct, including repeated violations of Levels 1 and 2, serious disruptions of order at the facility, and threats to the health, safety, and property of others. A Level 3 violation may result in immediate expulsion from the park and possible permanent revocation of a user’s entry pass.
- Physical Attack
- Breaking and Entering
- Destruction of Property/Vandalism (More Than $250)
- Stealing (More than $20)
- Under Influence of Alcoholic Beverages or Illegal Drugs
- Possession of Alcohol or Illegal Drugs
- Possession of Knives, Guns, or Weapons
- Repeated Misconduct of a More Serious Nature
D. Staff Responsibilities
- Documentation: All situations resulting in suspensions of an individual’s entry pass will be documented in writing in an APA Incident Report.
- Notification: Staff shall provide a written notice explaining the violation and cause of the suspension to any person whose entry pass is suspended more than one week.
- Retention: Incident Reports and Written Notices shall be retained digitally by APA management.
E. Authority
This Policy is adopted pursuant to the authority granted in and is consistent with all Action Park Alliance locations. The executive director of APA has authority over all park access. This policy may be amended at his/her discretion.
